Ida Rasia Obituary

Ida M. Rasia, 89, of Prospect St. in Lee, died Wednesday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. She was born in Pittsfield on July 31, 1921 the daughter of Antonio and Maria Del Lago Censato and was educated in the West Stockbridge Schools. Over the years Ida worked at Cranwell School in Lenox and in the 1960s and 1970s she worked at the former Berkshire Hills North Nursing Home in Lee. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a member of its Adoration Society. She was also a member of the G. Marconi Lodge #1620 Sons of Italy in Lee She enjoyed spending time with her many friends and neighbors, walking, reading and visiting her family in New Hampshire. Her husband Olindo Rasia whom she married October 19, 1946 died October 23, 1986. She leaves her brother August Censato of Pittsfield; her sister in law Mary Censato of Richmond, her niece Lori Salvi and her husband Steve of Laconia, NH; her nephew Jeff Fresia and his wife Mary of Wisconsin; a grand niece, two grand nephews and four great grand nieces and nephews. She also leaves her loving friends Norma and Reno Buratto, Renne Masiero, Clara Burns and all of their extended families. She was predeceased by her brothers Mario, Emilio and Laurence Censato. The funeral for Ida Rasia will be held Saturday morning Dec. 4th at 10:30 from the Kelly Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Mary's Church with Msgr. John J. Bonzagni interim pastor officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hrs at the funeral home will be Saturday morning from 9:30 until 10:30.
