Berna E. Passetto, 83, of Water St. in East Lee, died Sunday at her home. She was born in Lee on May 12, 1931, the daughter of Leslie and Myrtle Webb Cheney. Mrs. Passetto was educated in the Lee Schools and was a graduate of Lee High School and St. Luke's School of Nursing. She worked as a L.P.N. at Fairview Hospital and at the former Pines Nursing Home in Gt. Barrington and Berkshire Hills North Nursing Home in Lee. Her husband Anthony J. Passetto, whom she married April 1962, died in 1978. She leaves two sons: Joseph A. Passetto and his wife Colleen, of Hinsdale and Peter K. Jaquins of Peru, Il; two daughters: Priscilla M. Lockenwitz and her husband Peter, of West Stockbridge and Christina M. McHugh and her husband Chris, of Lee. Mrs. Passetto also leaves her eight grandchildren: Clayton, Aaron, Nicole, Timothy, Jessica, Jamie, Allison, and Amber; as well as, her five great-grandchildren. She also leaves her close friend Muriel Brett and her devoted dog, Panda. Berna was predeceased by her son, Charles Jaquins, who was killed in Vietnam in September 1971. She was also was predeceased by her granddaughter Diane Lockenwitz, her brothers Ronald and Bob and her sister Benice Brighenti.
