Daniel Craig Norton, age 32, died Sunday, December 24th in Pittsfield. He was born October 30, 1985 in Pittsfield to Gary and Karen (Kosturko) Norton. Dan grew up in Lee, attended Lee Central School and graduated from Lee High School in 2004. He moved to Pittsfield as a young adult and briefly attended BCC and MCLA. Dan worked as a computer repair technician at the former InterAccess of the Berkshires. As a youngster, Dan was involved in many school and community activities including the Bousquet ski program at Bousquet, community soccer, karate, golfing at Greenock CC, LYA recreation programs, Cub Scouts, Little League and Babe Ruth baseball, and Brodie Mountain junior ski patrol. Dan's passion was computers. He built computers, repaired computers, and loved to play video computer games. Dan will be remembered as a loving son and loyal friend. Besides his parents, Dan leaves behind his aunts and uncles, Kathleen (William) Behrens, Mastic Beach, NY; Thomas (Roseann) Norton, St. Augustine, FL; Robert Norton, LaGrange, NY; and Marilyn Norton, Poughquag, NY; his cousins William (Amanda) Behrens, Mastic Beach, NY; Jennette (Keith) Browning, Lisle, IL; Emily (Keith) MacPherson, Poughquag, NY; and Kayla Norton, Gainesville, FL; his lifelong friend, Tony Kergaravat, Cohoes, NY; a few close friends; and his dog, Scooter. Dan was predeceased by his grandparents Vincent and Penny Kosturko; Harold and Mary Norton; and Karen Russell Norton. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 3, at 3:30PM at the Kelly Funeral Home, Main St., Lee, with the Rev. Bill Neil officiating. Visiting Hours will be from 2PM until the time of the service. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dan's memory to NAMI of Berkshire County or the Lee Youth Association, in care of the Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main St, Lee, MA 01238.
