David J. Schwab, 57, of Summer St. in Lee, died peacefully at his home on Thursday, December 19, 2013, with his family by his side. He was born in Pittsfield on December 26, 1955, the son of Charles E. Schwab and the late Barbara Platt Schwab. He attended Lee High School. In the 1970s David worked for Danco Snowmobile in Lenox Dale and for Lenox Oil, Clark Aiken Co. and was last employed at Schweitzer Mauduit in Lee. He was a member of the Mass Vintage Snowmobile Club. He enjoyed racing, restoration and showing antique snowmobiles as well as restoration of vintage cars tractors and gardening. David was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather and brother. He leaves his wife, the former Linda A. Langenback, whom he married October 10 1975, one son; James E. Schwab and his wife, Leah, of Lee, one daughter; Patricia L. Maschino, of Canaan, CT. David is also survived by one brother, Robert C. Schwab and his wife, Susan, of Berrien Spring, Mich., one sister, Linda J. Lanoue, of Shaftsbury, VT and his three grandchildren; Autumn, Devin, and Leanne Per his family request, there will be no Funeral Service.
