Donald R. Mattie, Jr. of Becket, MA, formerly of Torrington, CT, passed away on September 29, 2026. He was 54. He was the beloved son of Donald R. Mattie, Sr. and Nancy Mattie of Tolland, MA.

Donald is survived by his beloved daughter Sabrina Lee Mattie of Torrington, CT, as well as his sister Jean-Marie LeBlanc and her husband Vernon LeBlanc Sr. of West Hartland, CT. He leaves his step-niece, Maris Amantea, her husband JR, and their son Aden, his step-nephew Vernon LeBlanc Jr., his wife Kristin, their sons Colton, Weston, and their daughter Hadley, and his step-nephew Brian LeBlanc.

Donald was a skilled and dedicated craftsman who spent many years working in the plastics industry. His knowledge, talent, and dedication earned him the respect of his colleagues and those who had the opportunity to work alongside him.

Donald lived his life on his own terms. He was independent, strong-willed, and true to himself. Above all, he loved his daughter, his family and friends. He loved fishing, football, and baseball.

A private celebration of life event will be shared with family and friends.
