Eunice B. Donovan, 91, of Lander Road in Lee, died Tuesday at her home. She was born in Presque Isle, Maine on February 24, 1924, the daughter of Raphael and Grace Moran Beckwith and was educated in the local schools. Mrs. Donovan lived in Chesterfield, MA for many years prior to moving to Lee in 1979 where she and her husband John "Buck" Donovan owned and operated J. Donovan and Son Sand and Gravel. Besides enjoying time spent with her family, she also found pleasure in gardening. Her husband, whom she married June 19, 1940, died October 1991. Eunice leaves her son John "Jake" Donovan and his wife Nancy of Stockbridge; two daughters: Lynn G. Stasz and her husband John of Boulder, CO and Janis R. Donovan and her husband Nelson A. Barber of Kent, CT; one sister Ruby M. Donovan of West Chesterfield, MA; and her many grand and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Judy S. Wolf. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
