George J. "Bud" Alter, 91, of Lee, passed away on August 12th after a brief battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara; his son, John and his daughter, Nancy. He proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Navy in World War II. Mr. Alter leaves behind his son, Michael, and his wife, Katrina Romeo and his daughter, Patricia Hickey, and her long-time partner, Don Smith. Pop also leaves his six grandchildren: Shannon, Nathan, Rebekah, Ashley, Caitland and Annastasia; and five great-grandchildren. We will miss him. There will be a private gathering for the family at a later date.
