Hattie E. Clark, 86, of Cone Avenue, Lee, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017 at her home with family by her side. Hattie was born on October 3, 1930, the daughter of Joseph and Lillian Gangell Coty. She was raised and educated in Lee and was a lifelong resident. Hattie married Paul J. Clark on May 25, 1956. Her husband died August 5, 2013. Mrs. Clark worked for many years as a LPN for the former Crestwood Nursing Home in Lenox, then the Berkshire Hills North Nursing Home in Lee. Hattie enjoyed square dancing with her husband in her younger years and treasured her time she spent with her family. She also was proud of and loved to drive her red Cadillac. Mrs. Clark leaves behind her son, Michael and his wife Marge; two grandchildren: Brian Coty and his wife Fran and Kristen Coty and one great-grandson, Brian Coty Jr. Additionally, she leaves behind her two brothers: John Coty and his wife Mary and Richard Coty and his wife Mary Lou; her sister, Lillian Hiser and her husband Phillip and her sister-in-law, Jeanette Coty. Hattie also leaves behind her niece, Marcia McClosky. Besides her husband, Paul, Mrs. Clark was predeceased by her brothers: Joseph, George, Robert and Marshall Coty and her sister, Edna Shaefer. As per Mrs. Clark's wishes, the service and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Care in the Berkshires in care of Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238.
