Jean E. Killackey passed away on October 22, 2026, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield after a short illness. She was 90 years old.

Jean was born on October 18, 1936, to the late Vinton and Ruth (Farnham) Adams, in the town of Lee. On October 13, 1954, she married Charles H. Killackey.

Jean loved teaching children about the Gospel. She especially enjoyed teaching Sunday School and Daily Vocation Bible School at Berkshire Hill Baptist Church in Lee. She also loved singing and teaching piano at Falcetti Music School, and at home. It gave Jean so much joy witnessing about the Lord. She loved everyone, no matter what. Jean was one of God's soldiers. She will be missed dearly by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her.

Besides her parents, Jean was predeceased by her husband, Charles Killackey, two sons, Kevin and John Killackey, two grandsons, Christopher Killackey and Matthew Newton, and her longtime friend and companion, Henry "Rico" Smachetti.

Jean is survived by two sons, Charles and Shawn Killackey, two daughters, Kathleen O'Leary and her husband Thomas, and Colleen Newton and her husband Roger, her daughter-in-law Jean (Coty) Killackey, fourteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren, as well as one great-great-granddaughter.

Funeral services for Jean will be held on Thursday, October 28, at 12 noon, at the Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main Street, Lee, MA 01238, with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Lee. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation in Jean's memory to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund, in care of the funeral home.
