Joan A. Forshee, 72, of High Street, Lee, died Tuesday, May 21, 2013. She was born in Pittsfield, MA on August 15, 1940, daughter of Charles and Ethel McKegg Lorette and was educated in Lenox Schools. Joan married her husband, Dennis B. Forshee, at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church in Key West, Florida on December 28, 1958. She always put her family first, enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild, as well as cooking and baking with her children and grandchildren. She also liked to garden and was always 'dressed to the nines'. In addition to her husband of 54 years, Joan leaves three daughters, Cheryl A. Slosek and her husband David of West Stockbridge, Joyce M. Peebles and her husband Raymond of Pittsfield, Tamy L. Heeren and her husband Keith of Lee, as well as two brothers Donald Lorette of NY and Robert Lorette of FL, and two sisters Rose Gracewicz of Pittsfield and Barbara Lipford of Lee. She is also survived by her six grandchildren Kristen, Adam, Katrina, Lauren, Candice and Samantha and her great-grandchild Kenley. She is predeceased by a son Dennis B. Forshee, Jr., five brothers, Charles, John, William, Richard and Emerson Lorette, and two sisters Dorothy Lamontagne and Harriet Johnson. Services for Joan Forshee will be private for the family. Memorial donations may be made in Joan's name to the Lee Ambulance Squad in care of the Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main Street, Lee, MA 01238.
