Kathleen M. Broga, 64, of 176 Columbus Ave. in Pittsfield died Wednesday September 18, 2013 at the Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, with her family at her side. Kathleen was born in Pittsfield on September 21, 1948 the daughter of Homer and Susan Hartman Lefebvre . She was educated in the Pittsfield Schools, first at St. Mary's Elementary School and then at St. Joseph's High School, where she graduated in 1966. In 1968 she graduated from Northampton Commercial College. She moved to Becket in 1971 and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the former Berkshire Hills North Nursing Home in Lee until 1997. In 1999, Kathleen moved to South Carolina where she worked at the Orian Rugs and Electrolux Refrigeration Department, retiring in 2006 at which time she returned to this area. Before moving to Becket, she was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Pittsfield and while in Becket attended St. Matthew's Church. Kathleen leaves her husband Duane A. Broga Sr. whom she married October 17, 1970, one son Duane A. Broga, Jr. and his wife, Jessica, of North Adams; two brothers Thomas J. Lefebvre of Arizona and Homer R. Lefebvre and his wife, Linda, of Venice, FL. She also leaves her beloved sister-in-laws Armine Cooper, Diane Theriault, Sandra Mills and Donna Carnevale. The Funeral for Kathleen Broga will be held Tuesday, September 24 at 9:15 a.m. from the Kelly Funeral Home in Lee, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Mary's Church in Lee with the Rev. John K. Sheaffer, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the North Becket Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday from 4-7 at the Kelly Funeral Home 3 Main St. Lee, MA . Friends wishing may make memorial donations in Kathleen's honor to the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter, in care of the funeral home.
