L. Jane Days, 94, died Friday morning at her home in Dalton. She was born in Waterbury, CT on December 26, 1920, the daughter of Hampton J. and Lucille Grier Adams. She attended Waterbury Schools and graduated from High School in 1938. On October 10, 1942 she married her first husband, Roy Hallock. He died in April of 1981. Jane worked at the YWCA in Albany and moved to Otis in the early 1950's where she worked at the Humason General Store and later at Otis Ridge Ski Area as a switchboard operator and a secretary. On September 13, 1981 she married her second husband Howard Days. He died in February of 1998. Mrs. Days enjoyed knitting, crocheting and bird watching. She is survived by one son: Lee Roy H. Hallock of Otis; four daughters Jane Kimberly and her husband Bobby of Otis, Karol Somes and her husband Marshall of Otis, Lynne Lennon and her husband Tom of Dalton and Wendy Pennington and her husband Tom of Sandisfield; One sister Irene Baril of CT; 19 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. The funeral service for Mrs. Days will be on Tuesday April 28th at 12:30 PM at the Kelly Funeral Home in Lee. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 11 AM until the time of the service.
