Marie J. McWilliams, age 89, of Stockbridge, Massachusetts, died Wednesday, November 12, 2014. She was Born on Staten Island, New York, on Sept. 3, 1925, the daughter of Andrew & Helen McWilliams. She received her B.S. Degree in 1945 from New York University, and thereafter joined the American Broadcasting Company, where she rose to the position of Corporate Vice President of Human Resources. After 27 years at ABC, she joined the National Bank of North America as Vice President of Human Resources, and also served as a member of the Senior Management Group. While in New York, she was a member of the Richmond County Country Club; a member of the Finance Committee of the Women's University Club; and a Committee member of the Republican Party. In 1976, Marie McWilliams retired to Stockbridge, where she had spent most of her weekends and vacations since 1964. There she became a Trustee of the Laurel Hill Association, where she was in charge of Village Beautification for over 10 years. She was a Board Member of the Berkshire Garden Center, chairing the Antique Show at The Plain School. She also belonged to the Lenox Club and the Stockbridge Golf Club. Marie J. McWilliams was predeceased by her brother, Frank X. McWilliams. The funeral is private, and there will be no visiting hours. Kelly Funeral Home in Lee is handling the arrangements.
