Marlene MacDowell, 66, of School Street, Lenox Dale, MA, a loving mother and grandmother , died Friday, May 3 at Berkshire Medical Center. She was born in Pittsfield on March 1, 1947, the daughter of Belden and Mary Carty Boice. Marlene graduated from Lenox High School in 1965, attended hairdressing school, and worked at Lee Parie and Kimball Farms. For many years she was an avid bowler at Lee Lanes. Marlene is survived by three sons, Richard Ostrander and his wife Cindy Howe of Lenox Dale, Richard MacDowell and his wife Kathy of Ashley Falls, and Craig MacDowell and his wife Jessica of Otis. She also leaves her grandchildren, Elissa, Alison, Kaileigh, Rebecca, Christopher and Makayla. Services for Marlene will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Marlene's memory to the charity of the donor's choice.
