Maryann Gop Girardey, 55, of Gulf Port, Mississippi, formerly of Lee, died November 29, 2013 at her home in Gulf Port, where she has resided since 2008. She was born in Pittsfield on June 29, 1958 the daughter of Theresa Longerato Gop and the late Stanley Gop. She was educated in the Lee School was a 1976 graduate Lee High School and in 1979 graduated from Holliston College in Worcester. She was employed by the U.S. Postal Service, both in Lee and Gulf Port. Her husband, Richard Girardey, died in 1989. Besides her mother in Lee, Maryann leaves her brother, Eugene A. Gop of Tyringham, and her sister, Bonnie Eichstedt, of Durham, N.C. A Graveside Service will be held in the Spring at Fairmount Cemetery in Lee.
