Mildred J. Thomas, 80, formerly of Lee, died Monday, March 21, 2016 at Craneville Place in Dalton. She was born in Pittsfield on April 1, 1935, the daughter of William "Buz" and Ignes Mead Aldrich. She was educated in the Lee Schools graduating from St. Mary's Parochial School and was a member of the Lee High School class of 1953. She was voted best girl dancer in the 1953 Senior Class. Also her classmate, Ed Thomas III was voted the best boy dancer. They met at their 30th class reunion and got married in 1984 and danced together for many years. Millie worked as a registered nurse in numerous hospitals after graduating from the Henry W. Bishop Memorial School of Nursing at Pittsfield General Hospital. Besides her husband, Edward Thomas III, of Lee, she leaves her son, James W. Bianco and his companion, Pam Kot, of Enfield, CT and her sister, Helen A. Ward and her husband, Dave, of Pittsfield. She was predeceased by her son Bobby Bianco. Funeral Services for Mildred Thomas will be held on Saturday, April 2nd at 10:30 AM from the Kelly Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Mary's Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday morning April 2nd from 9:30 until 10:30 AM at the Funeral Home In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations to St. Mary's School in care of the Kelly Funeral Home at 3 Main St. Lee, MA 01238.
