Norma S. Berry 88, of Lee, died Wednesday March 4th at the Berkshire Medical Center after a short illness. She was born in Pittsfield the daughter of Roscoe and Harriet Washburn Spofford and was a 1945 graduate of Lee High School. After graduation she moved to Washington DC where she became a Government Girl with the Dept. of the Navy. She returned to Lee in 1956 where she worked at the Lee Lime Corp. for many years. She and her late husband of 55 years Kenneth L Berry whom she married Sept 5, 1948 spent many winters in Ruskin, FL, Ken died on April 18, 2001. Norma leaves her son Kenneth Lee Berry and his wife Diane of Lee, her daughter Brenda Berry-Gates and her husband Bill of Lee; two grandchildren Kaitlin and Kristin and her niece Jeanne Zanetti of Lee. She was predeceased by her brother Ned and her sister Betty Zanetti. The Berry family would like to thank Terry Hadsell from Porchlight for her devoted care A Funeral Service for Norma will be held Saturday morning March 14th at 11:30 at the First Congregational Church in Lee, with the Rev. Bill Neil, pastor, officiating, all are welcome to attend. Burial will be held in the Spring at Fairmount Cemetery.
