Rosalie "Sarah" Puleri McCollum passed away on Wednesday, October 23 at her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family. Sarah was born on May 9, 1923 on School Street in Lee. She was the oldest child of the late Frank and Mary Corseri Puleri. She lived most of her life in Lee and retired to Summerfield, Florida in 1988. She enjoyed returning to Lee in the summer. Sarah graduated from Lee High School in 1941 and waitressed for many years at Rossi's Restaurant and later at Eastover Resort. She loved spending time with her family, cooking, sewing and shopping. Sarah will be remembered as a dedicated mom and very generous person. She will be greatly missed by her four children: Francis Murray, Katherine Steadman, Maryann Sheerin and Rosalie McCollum. She leaves behind her six grandchildren: Dawn Gibson, Naomi Vandergrift, Aaron Steadman, James Sheerin, Jr, and Patrick and Kevin Shepardon. She also leaves her nine great grandchildren: Sydnie, Hailey, Brooke, Angelica, Kali, Emily, Madison, Beckett and Rubie. Her sister Josephine Akey and brothers Joseph, Louie (Mary), Francis (Barbara) and her sister-in-law Betty Puleri and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John, her stepdaughter Patricia Shepardson, her grandsons Roger Steadman, Jr. and Brian Shepardson, her granddaughter Sherri Lee Steadman, her sister Mary and brothers Angelo and James. Funeral Services for Rosalie McCollum will be on Monday at 10:15 from the Kelly Funeral Home in Lee with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Mary's Church in Lee. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 2-5 pm at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Care of the Berkshires, Dreams of Joy or Lee Elementary School Student Fund in care of Kelly's Funeral Home 3 Main Street Lee, MA 01238.
