Sandra Dale (Shealy) Merson, 74, of Springfield MA died Saturday March 21st at the Sweet Brook Nursing Home in Williamstown, MA. She was born in Columbia, SC, on September 11, 1940 the daughter of Derrell D. Shealy and Juanita Marie Langley. She graduated from Andrew Lewis H.S. in Salem, Virginia, in 1960 moved to Nyack, NY and married William R. Merson in 1964. They lived in Springfield from the late 1960's where she was a home child care provider until they moved to Stafford Springs, CT in the late 1980's where she worked as the Town Secretary. She returned to Springfield in 1999 where she was a Nanny and employee of Stop & Shop before retiring. She resided at Sweet Brook in 2014. Sandra leaves her fiancée Charles Fusco of Easthampton, her sons Scott W. Merson and his fiancée Brigitte and Jeffrey Merson with his fiancée Angela both of Nevada and her daughter Tracy A. Johnson and her husband Chris of Tyringham, one sister Georgia A. Schweizer of Salem, Virginia and her grandchildren Joshua, Alexander and Samuel. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday May 9th at the Union Church in Tryingham.
