Albert J. Sinico - 81- of Lee died Wednesday December 24th at Berkshire medical Center in Pittsfield from Covid-19.
He was born in Pittsfield on September 13, 1939, the son of Albert and Angela Pellizzari Sinico. He attended school in West Stockbridge.
Albert worked for Woodger Landscaping in Lenox, and the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority in Lee, retiring in 2000.
He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Lee and a collection usher. He was a former member of the Stockbridge and Lee Volunteer Fire Departments. Albert was instrumental in helping all family members and friends with building and landscaping projects. It brought him great joy to see the finished product. He was also an avid NY Yankee fan and loved to take walks around downtown Lee. Albert made the best spaghetti and meatball sauce, which was the family favorite.
Due to Parkinson's disease he entered Assistant Living and then Nursing Home care. Albert still
maintained his wit and humor. He was always wearing a smile when he got the best of you.
Albert will be remembered for his compassion, willingness to help others, love of family, life and God.
Albert is survived by brothers: William of Lee and Robert (Patricia) of West Stockbridge; sisters: Anna Broggi of New Marlborough, Margaret Derrick of Lee, Mary Obanhein (Neil) of Stockbridge and Patricia Salvadore (Marty) of Stockbridge; and sister-in-law Kathy Sinico of Great Barrington. In addition he also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins and his companion, Ann Pyenson, of Lenoxdale and her family.
Albert was predeceased by brothers: Joseph V. Sinico of Great Barrington on August 2020 and an infant brother Joseph, sisters: Norma Cardillo of Stockbridge and 2 year old Linda; brothers-in-law: Ernest Cardillo Sr. of Stockbridge, Dominic Broggi of New Marlborough and William Derrick of Lee.
Due to Covid-19 a private graveside service for Albert Sinico will be held. The Kelly Funeral Home of Lee is in charge of arrangements. If you would like to leave a message of condolence for the family, you may do so in the Book of Memories @ www.kellyfuneralhome.net
