Alice Keegan Zerbato, 90, passed peacefully away with her son Alan by her side on June 7, 2021.
Alice was born on June 8, 1930 and was the daughter of Edward and Elsie Dorman Malumphy. She graduated from St. Mary's school in 1945 and went on to graduate from Lee High School, class of 1949 and attended the most recent class reunion.
On May 20, 1950 she was married to Mario Zerbato, the love of her life. They were blessed with 51 years together. Alice was employed in the administration offices of the former St. Luke's Hospital and the Mead Corporation. She also worked at the Marian Father's in the Divine Mercy office. Her last employment was as the Executive Director of the Women's Club of Pittsfield. Her hobbies included studying genealogy which was fruitful in determining family lineage for entry into the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) (Peace Party Chapter). She also enjoyed dancing, flower gardening, music, poetry, reading and producing and directing variety shows. The latter activities were "Our Town Follies" performed to benefit Lee High School sports and others in physical need. She was an active member in the Lee Historical Society for many years. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church.
Alice leaves behind her sons: Robert Zerbato of Englewood, FL and Alan Zerbato of Lee. She was predeceased by her youngest son David on October 14, 2017. She also leaves behind her daughters in law: Lynn Zerbato of Englewood, FL and Sherry Zerbato of Pittsfield; eight grandchildren: Brian, Jason, Challis, Karisa, Rob, Chad, Zachary and Camden; eight great grandchildren: Makayla, Makenzie, Mario, Landon, Lincoln, Cooper, Weston and Briar-Rose; her nieces: Lorraine Forfa (Edward) and Kathleen Shaw (Bob) and her nephew Richard Wells.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 14th , at 10 AM, at St. Mary’s Church in Lee. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lee.
