Antoinette (Privitera) Royal

Mrs. Antoinette P. Royal, 94, of Naples, FL, peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Berkshire Medical Center surrounded by her loving daughters.

Antoinette was born on June 7, 1931, the daughter of Stephen and Josephine Cavellaro Privitera.

Antoinette was preceded in death by her husband, Richard N. Royal of Naples, FL; parents Stephen and Josephine Privitera of Lee, MA; son-in-law Michael W. Matzuk, Jr., of Glen Allen, VA; grandson Corey M. Feickert, of Kittyhawk, NC; and great-grandson Michael Ford Matzuk, of Mechanicsville, VA.
Antoinette’s (Nina) greatest joy was her family.

Those left to cherish her memory are: her daughters: Joanne Feickert (Bob) of Leesburg, VA, Deidre Matzuk (widow of Michael W. Matzuk, Jr.) of Glen Allen, VA, and Lori Andersen (Mark) of Glen Allen, VA; her brothers: Mario Privitera (Carol) of Lenox, MA and Salvatore Privitera (Doris) of Scituate, MA; and her sister, Mary Jane DiNunzio (Chuck) of Lee, MA.
In addition, Antoinette leaves behind her grandchildren: Kristin Garrett (Ross), Carleigh Malone (Colin), Clyde Kessler (Sharla), Breanne Feickert, Ryan Matzuk (Kim), Maria Dietrich (Johnny), Alexandra Murphy (Tom), Blake Andersen, and Zachary Andersen (Danielle); and her great-grandchildren: Luke, Rafe, Jake, Celia, Annaleigh, Colt, Beau, Mason, Bodhi, Josephine, and Ruth Anne.

Antoinette’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her. 

A celebration of life for Mrs. Antoinette Royal will be held on Thursday, October 2, 10:30AM at St. Mary’s Church in Lee. There is no burial at this time.
