Barbara Ann (Moyer) Touhey

It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara Ann Touhey (Moyer) announce her passing on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at the age of 75.  

Barbara was born in Pittsfield MA, on August 25, 1949, to her loving parents, Edward, and Helen Moyer. Barbara married Kevin Paul Touhey on February 20, 1971. She received a degree in Nursing and was a Special Care Nurse at Berkshire Medical Center. Later, she worked at the Lee VNA.   

Barbara loved baking, especially cookies at Christmas, and her house smelled warmly of apples and cinnamon. She loved the New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys and was often sporting some form of team swag. She could always be seen wearing fun socks and wild shoes which perfectly matched her spunky personality. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, often texting them in the morning to wish them a good day at school and could be heard on the sidelines cheering them on at a sporting events. 

Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her son, Matthew, and daughter-in-law Donna, of Norwell, MA; her son, Shaun, and daughter-in-law Lee, of Northbridge MA; and her five grandchildren: Kevin, Keira, Jake, Keelyn, and Gianna. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. 

Barbara is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Kevin, and her two brothers, Edward and Robert Moyer.  

Barbara’s family would like to extend their gratitude to Hospice Care in the Berkshires for making Barbara’s final days comfortable.  

Calling hours will be held at the Kelly Funeral Home in Lee, MA on Tuesday, October 22nd from 4:00PM-6:00PM. A funeral service will be held at the Kelly Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 23rd at 10:30AM. 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Barbara’s memory to Hospice Care in the Berkshires c/o the Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main Street, Lee, MA 01238.
