Barbara Jane (Farrington) Turner

Mrs. Barbara Jane Turner, 96, formerly of Lee, died October 22, 2024.

She was born in Pittsfield on October 12, 1928, the daughter of Milton and Ethel Shepardson Farrington. She was raised and educated in Lenox, graduating from Lenox High School in 1947. She married John Warren Turner, Sr. June 18, 1949 and subsequently moved to Lee.

Mrs. Turner enjoyed gardening, ceramics, playing Bingo, the challenge of word games. Listening to country music and rooting on the Red Sox. She also cherished her twenty years of wintering in Florida.

Mrs. Turner leaves her four sons: John W. Turner, Jr., Ronald J. Turner (Vicky), Daniel M. Turner, and Raymond E. Turner; and two daughters: Linda L. Griffin and Beverly J. Turner. In addition, she leaves her four grandchildren: David Griffin, Dennis Griffin (Lisa), Kerry Bartini (Bob), and Robert Schuerer (Tami); and her five great-grandchildren: Makayla, Juliana, Ava, Dante, and Austin.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Turner was predeceased by her husband, John Warren Turner, Sr, and her sister, Mariann Howes.

Visiting Hours will be held Tuesday, October 29, 10:00-11:30AM. Burial will be private for the family at a later date.
