Beverly Joyce (O'Loughlin) Nickerson

It is with profound sadness that the family of Beverly Joyce Nickerson announces her peaceful passing on January 12, 2021. Born in Keene, NH on December 16, 1933, she was the daughter of William J. O’Loughlin of Keene, NH and Viola Dunn of Pittsfield, MA.

Beverly was a 1953 Graduate of Lee High School. She married her high school sweetheart and started a family. After raising her children she received a Certified Nursing Certificate and began working for the Lee Visiting Nurse Association as well as the original Berkshire Place in Pittsfield. She later moved on to Private Duty Care, where she took great pleasure in her work, making many life long friendships along the way.

She was a devote Catholic and lived most of her life in Lee, but later moving to Pittsfield to be close to her children. Among many joys in her life, one of the finest was the birth of her grandson Sawyer Wellington Moore. Her family meant everything to her. She cherished the ocean and looked forward to summer vacations at Hampton Beach with her family. She had a great sense of humor, and never missed the Sunday Jumble in the Berkshire Eagle.  She was a true Sagittarius, adventurous and fun loving, determined to live life to fullest.

Her son John Francis Nickerson and sister Geraldine Bateman predeceased.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Sheila Ann Nickerson-Lucas (William) Mary Margaret Moore (Daniel) and grandson Sawyer Wellington Moore.  She also leaves her former husband Ronald John Nickerson.

There will be no calling hours. Services will be Private.  Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations can be made to St. Mary’s School C/O Kelly’s Funeral Home 3 Main St. Lee, MA.
