Carol Ann (Cordonier) Wheeler

Mrs. Carol Ann Wheeler, 91, of Lee, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Lee Healthcare where she had resided for the past several months.

Carol was born on September 6, 1934, the daughter of Elmer and Olive Graves Cordonier. She was raised and educated in Lee. She married Arthur W. “Buzzie” Wheeler, Jr. on April 26, 1951. Mr. Wheeler died April 17, 2023.

Mrs. Wheeler worked as a nurses aid at the former Berkshire Hills North Nursing Home. She and her husband were founding members of the Berkshire Hills Baptist Church where she also assisted in running its nursery program for many years.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children: Arthur Wheeler, of North East, PA; and Mary Jane Hopkins and her husband, John, of Lee; her grandchildren: Michael, Jason, Sarah (Jeff), Keith (Julia), Jared (Christine), and Justin; and her great-grandchildren: Evan, Avery, Madelyn, Ella, Owen, Sara, Phoenix, and Josephine. In addition, she leaves behind her sister, Beverly Spence.

Besides her parents, and her husband, “Buzzie”, she was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Meunier, her daughter-in-law, Margaret Wheeler, and her brother-in-law, William Spence.

Funeral services for Mrs. Carol Ann Wheeler will be held Friday, October 17, 11AM at the Berkshire Hills Baptist Church in Lee, with Pastor Doug Mann, officiating. Visiting Hours will be held at the church from 9:30 until 11AM. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
