It is with great sadness we announce the death of Christopher D. Killackey, 45, of Otis, MA on Sunday, June 27th, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.
Christopher was born on May 29, 1976 in Pittsfield, MA to the Kevin and Jean (Coty) Killackey. He was a 1994 graduate of Lee High School. He went on to work at Sheffield Plastics, Rising Paper and, at the time of his death, Williams Stone Co. where he was a dedicated 13 year employee who took pride in his work.
Christopher loved nature, animals and dabbled in a little gardening down by the river.
He leaves his fiancé Virginia O’Brien with whom he made his home; his mother Jean A. Killackey and his brother Eric M. Killackey of Otis. He also leaves his maternal grandparents John and Mary Coty and his paternal grandmother Jean E. Killackey, all of Lee. In addition he also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his father Kevin C. Killackey, his grandfather Charles Killackey, his uncle John A. Killackey and his cousin Matthew J. Newton. Christopher also leaves behind his personal companion Zoey who stayed right by his side throughout his sickness. He has left this world as a gentler soul who made us look at life in a different way. He will be sadly missed.
