Cynthia A. Meyer, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died peacefully on September 5, 2024.
She was born in Great Barrington, MA in 1934 to Irving and Mary Beaconwault Houghtaling.
She and her late husband eventually moved to Suffield, CT where they lived for 50 years, and then to Enfield, CT where they lived for 13 years.
She was a retired postal worker for 28 years in the Feeding Hills-Agawam area.
She leaves behind her son, Peter and his wife, Pamela; her daughter, Deborah and her husband, Rick; two grandchildren: Nicholas and his wife, Ashley, (great-grandsons Brayden and Ryan), and Kelly and her husband, Curt (great-grandson, Keagan).
Her passions in life other than her family, were gardening, needlepoint, music and all of her beloved pets.
Her daughter Deborah would like to thank all of those who provided laughter, smiles and care until the end at the Landing at Laurel Lake Assisted Living and Memory Care and especially to her husband, Rick, who stood by both of them throughout all of this.
Donations may be made in Cynthia’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238.
