Dan Palardy, of Pittsfield, passed away on April 15, 2025, at Berkshire Medical Center. He combated lung cancer and fought a courageous battle of over 10 years. He was 73 yeards old.
Born on July 19, 1951, he was the son of the late Norman (Red) and Mary (Kilmer) Palardy. He graduated from Lee High School. He went on to own his own business, A1 Carpet Cleaning, and he also worked at GE and Lenox Machine Shop. He worked at Krofta Engineering as a water pilot operator for 15 years before retiring.
He was a jack of all trades. Anytime anyone needed anything at all, he was always there to help with a smile.
To know Dan was to love him. It has been said that he would've given you the shirt off his back if you were in need. It was due to the kindheartedness he had attained throughout his life.
In his spare time, one of his favorite things to do was play his guitar. Throughout his life, he was a part of many different bands, some even with family members. His favorite music was rock from the late 60's and early 70's. Dan was also a big fan of scratch tickets, and never passed the opportunity by for a trip to the casino.
Left to cherish Dan's memory are his children Jodi and Jimmy; grandchildren Sierra and Sophia, brothers David and Joe, sisters Christine Taglieri, Kathy Mange, Eileen Dutton, and Beth Hawkins, and his longtime companion, Liz Smith. His legacy will live on amongst his countless friends.
