Doris Pelletier Obituary


On December 31, Doris (Landry) Pelletier passed away at Lee Healthcare after a short illness. She was 96 years old. Doris was born in Pawtucket, RI, daughter of Romelus and Rose Landry. She attended Pawtucket Elementary and graduated from St. John the Baptist Academy in 1941. She worked as a controller at McKenzie Welton Mfg prior to her marriage to Edmund A Pelletier in May 1950. Doris and Ed moved to Lee in 1955 and developed many wonderful and lifelong friendships here. Doris was a secretary at Lee High School for nineteen years. She was a Girl Scout leader for five years, served on the Board of Greenock Country Club for three years, and was an active member there for thirty eight years. She dearly loved golf and enjoyed playing well into her eighties. She was an avid reader, and loved to play cards. She spent many happy hours playing poker and bridge with friends. Doris was predeceased by her husband in 2000, after fifty years of marriage.  
Doris leaves her daughter Mary-lou Antoniazzi and her husband Paul, of Lee, and her son, David Pelletier of Fort Collins, CO. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren Becca Ryan and Tayler Pelletier of Fort Collins, CO, Jennifer Pelletier of Los Angeles, CA, Jessica Face and her husband Tim , and Daniel Antoniazzi and his wife Melissa. Her great grandchildren Leah and Easton Face, and Mila, Levi and Evie Antoniazzi added such joy to her life. 
Doris is also survived by her sister Marguerite Ouellette (Raymond) and two brothers, Roger Landry and Gerard Landry (Dottie), all of Florida, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Rose Farnsworth and her brothers Marcel and Leo Landry. 
Due to COVID restrictions a private viewing and graveside service will held at Fairmount Cemetery on January 6, 2021.
