Elaine (Bartini) Feltre

Elaine Feltre, a lifelong resident of Lee, passed away peacefully at Kimball Farms in Lenox, MA on Sunday, October, 22, 2023.

She was the daughter of Julian Bartini of Lee and Victoria Georgini of Adams.
Elaine graduated from Lee High School in 1953 and met her future husband John Feltre when she fell into his lap chasing a loose ball for the girls basketball team. They were married in 1954 and spent the next 67 years together in their home on Fairview St. until John passed away in 2021. Elaine worked at the Main St. Market, owned by her father, until having children beginning in 1955, (Robert, Laurie and Lynn). Later she worked at Lee High School in the library and greenhouse and retired from Country Curtains.
Elaine was a collector of everything, especially Christmas decorations. Her passion was gardening and her flowers were a source of pride. She enjoyed feeding the birds and wildlife around her home every morning. Elaine and John enjoyed visiting with friends and sharing stories on their front porch. She also enjoyed traveling to Arizona for the winter months and to Europe with John and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband John, daughter Lynn, brother Joseph Bartini, sister Norma Flynn and son-in-law Glenn Hoff. Elaine leaves behind her son Bob and daughter Laurie Hoff and sister Nancy Lynch, grand children Glenn and Shannan Hoff, Bianca Rank and Corey Feltre, great-grand children Savannah, Dawson, JayDee, Parker, Blake, Bryce, Audrey and Calvin.
A special thanks to the staff at Kimball Farms for the care and kindness shown our mom for the past six months.
Funeral services for Elaine Feltre will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023, 11AM at St. Mary’s Church in Lee, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
