Elizabeth Webster Obituary

With great sorrow, the Webster Family announces the passing of our kind, brave, caring and unimaginably generous Elizabeth Ann Webster, “Betty”, 68, of Lenox, MA, who passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 25th due to complications from a stroke.

Family and friends are deeply saddened by her sudden death.

Betty was born on Monday, January 10th, 1955, to John Cecil Webster and Ann Therese Basinait Webster of Lee, MA.

After Betty graduated from Lee High School in 1972, she went on to earn her Associate’s Degree from Berkshire Community College.

Betty was a Logistics Specialist at General Dynamics. In September 2021, when after 41 years of working for the company, she retired and spent her time adventuring with friends and family – always ready to take a trip, grab a bit to eat, or meet for a drink she enjoyed surrounding herself with the laughter of people she loved.

If you knew Betty then you knew her amazing love of animals. She had been riding at Apsinwall since the summer of 2010 and once she joined Monday night riding the rest was history. Once Aspinwall closed Betty would go to Caroline Roche Pratt’s parents’ house/barn and ride the trails there. Caroline’s horses Ricky and JW were near and dear to her heart. Betty’s family would like to acknowledge and send love to her Monday night riding group who were a second family to her.  Kellie, Donna, Emily, Kim, Brian, Dave, and Caroline you were each a unique treasure to Betty, and she loved you deeply.

Her family hopes she is riding her dream horse through the heavenly golden gates and playing on the blissful clouds with the animals, friends, and family who have passed before her.

Betty your absence has left an unfillable void in our hearts and in this world, but we are grateful for the memories created and shall cherish them while keeping your memory alive the rest of our lives. We will always love and miss you until we can meet again.

Betty was predeceased by her parents Cecil and Ann Webster of Lee, MA.

She is survived by her partner Daniel Armstrong and cat Chloe of West Stockbridge; brother George Webster and sister-in-law Arlette Porrini Webster of Lee, MA; niece and God-daughter Nicole Webster Clark and her husband Shane Clark of Stockbridge, MA, niece Danielle Webster and her fiancé Jason LaBeau of Springfield MA; her two grandnieces, daughters of Danielle, Taylor Salice and Lily LaBeau; God-daughters Staci Barrett of Lee, MA and Shannon Rounseville Healy of Marion MA, daughter of Betty’s  lifelong best friend Cathy Murphy Rounseville.
