Frank A. Consolati, 84, of Lee, died early Tuesday morning at Berkshire Medical Center with his family at his side.
Frank was born November 11, 1938, the son of Frank P. and Mary D. Salinetti Consolati. He was raised in Lee on the family farm and was a 1957 graduate of Lee High School. He joined the US Marine Corps Reserve in 1956 and upon completing his service commitment he was honorably discharged in 1960. He went to Hartford Insurance School and joined the family insurance and tax preparation business. He served the Town of Lee for many years as a selectman and town rep.
Frank and Carol Consolati were married August 24th 1960. They had 4 children, all boys over the next 11 years starting with Dan in 1964.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 62 years, Carol (Flynn) Consolati and their four children and families, Dan, David, Jeff and Pat. Dan's family includes his wife Jeanne and children Perrin Consolati and his partner Heather Eulian, Sara Consolati and her husband Craig Geyer and their children Waylon and Althea, and Kendall Carlson and her husband Seth and their child Bodie. David's family includes his wife Elaine and their children Susan and her partner Travis, Emily, and Matthew and his partner Louis. Jeff's family includes his children Alex and Megan. In addition, Frank leaves behind his brother, Tom Consolati, and wife, Colleen, his sister, Judy Britain and husband, Richard, and his brother, Jim Consolati, and wife, Karen.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 17, 10AM at St. Mary's Church in Lee. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting Hours will be held Monday evening, 4-6PM at the Kelly Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Frank's memory to the Lee Sportsman's Association or the Lee Gridiron Club in care of the Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238.
