George Ingegni Obituary

George “Gino” Ingegni sadly passed away May 17, 2024 at his home with his wife, son and daughter by his side.  Gino was born May 12, 1947 to the late Albert and Savina Angelini Ingegni.  He was a 1965 graduate of Lee High School.   He served in Vietnam in 1968-1969.

Most recently, Gino was employed at Kimball Farms Pine Hill Assisted Living in Lenox.  He had a wonderful way of developing friendships with the residents.  Making grilled cheese sandwiches on Tuesdays or breakfast on Thursdays for them was very important to him.

Gino enjoyed spending time with his friends at the 102 on Sunday mornings and sitting out in his back yard visiting with his friends Russ and Brian listening to Willie Nelson.  He was a New York Yankees fan and enjoyed horse racing.

Gino leaves behind his wife, Kathleen, of 38 years; his daughter, Gina Ingegni (Pat) of Pennsylvania; his son, Antonio, of Lee; his grandson, Alexander, of New York; his sister, Arlene Kigin, of Virginia; and many beloved nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his mother and father, his brother, Albert Ingegni Jr, another brother, William Ingegni, his sisters, Mary Serra and Catherine Wilson.

Per Gino’s wishes there will be no services.  There will be a Celebration of His Life on Sunday June 2nd at 332 West Park Street in Lee from 1-5 PM.

Gino’s family would like to thank his many friends who visited every day, it meant so much to him.

A heart felt thank you to nurses and aides from hospice, you truly are angels!  Friends wishing may make donations to Hospice Care in the Berkshires in c/o the Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main, Street, Lee, MA  01238.
