Gerard Francis Masiero, 71, of Pittsfield, MA, ended his final journey here on Earth on April 3, 2022 at Berkshire Medical Center, surrounded by his loved ones and with his mother’s rosary beads comforting him in his hands.
Gerard was born on November 13, 1950 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Pittsfield, MA to Angelo and Irene Jamros Masiero.
Gerard grew up in Lee, MA and lived happily with his wife Sarah, in Pittsfield, MA whom he married on August 13, 1988. He graduated from Lee High and later received his Bachelor’s degree in business administration at Northampton College. Gerard managed Midas Muffler on Dalton Avenue for many years and later worked in transportation for Crane & Company. He was a talented musician, mastering the accordion throughout his life. Gerard was a family man, and was happiest spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, entertaining at his home frequently.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Masiero, two sons, Gerard and Peter Masiero, two granddaughters, Grace and Emma Masiero, and his sister, Nelia Aldrich.
Services for Gerard will take place at the Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main St., Lee on Monday, April 11, 2022 at 10 AM.
