Gloria O'Brien Obituary

Gloria Jean Pease O’Brien, 81, of Lenox Dale MA, peacefully passed away on November

15th, 2025.

Gloria was born on March 5th, 1944, daughter of Edwin Ross and Beatrice Sherwood Pease. She will be remembered for her infinite smile and her endless offerings of love.

Gloria leaves behind her husband, Richard O’Brien, with whom she celebrated her 62nd

wedding anniversary on November 9th . Gloria was endlessly proud of the family they built - a legacy rooted in love, loyalty and countless memories created together.

She is survived by her four children, Carrie Healy (John), Denise Castegnaro, Jennifer Turner (Brian) and Richard O’Brien Jr. (Tanya); seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn Kohlenberger (Lee), Jessica Healy, Shane Castegnaro, Cameron and Neely Turner, Collin and Matthew O’Brien; four great-grandchildren Jacqueline, Charlotte and Connor Kohlenberger, Gabriella Castegnaro; three siblings, Marlene Libardi, Janet Cassanelli

(Danny) and Judy Tatro (Tim), and several nieces and nephews

She is predeceased by her parents, her stepfather Ray Cowell, her stepmother Esther, in-laws, John and Elizabeth O’Brien, brother, David Pease, and brother-in-law, Gene Libardi.

Gloria was employed for 17 years as a bus driver for Dufour Bus Company. She found a deep love for all the students and families of Lenox who were fortunate to be on her route.

Gloria’s favorite past times included getting together with her “club girls”, evenings playing cards with friends and bragging about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. On her own time, she was always found doing a puzzle, word search or sudoku. Gloria loved shopping trips and always ended her meals with dessert.

When reflecting back on her life, she took immense pride in the legacy she had created – not just of accomplishments, but of love that endured through generations. Her family carries her values forward, honoring her nurturing spirit and radiant “Glo”.
