Helen Ann (Aldrich) Dobson Ward

Helen Ann Aldrich Dobson Ward, 85, formerly of Lee, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Craneville Place in Dalton where she resided for the past six years. 
She was born in Pittsfield on January 22, 1939, the daughter of William P. "Buz" and Ines M. Mead Aldrich. She attended Lee Schools, St. Mary's Parochial and was a graduate of Lee High School, Class of 1957.
Her heart was always in the Berkshires, although she lived in various states throughout her life. For the last 25 years she has resided in the Pittsfield area with her husband, David Ward. Her work consisted of many years in retail sales. 
Besides her husband, David Ward, she leaves her daughter, Deborah Dobson of Ledyard, CT; her sons, Dean and wife Judith Dobson, of Pittsfield, and Daniel Dobson, of Dalton. In addition she leaves her grandchildren: Dawn Janssen, Jason Necker, Jamie Dobson, Trisha Dobson, Sharon Wong, Derek Dobson, Lisa Dobson, Michael Dobson, and Joseph Smith. She also leaves 12 great-grandchildren. 
She is predeceased by her son, David T. Dobson II and sister, Mildred Thomas.
Services will be held at the Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main St, Lee, MA on Friday, July 26 at 11 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Lee.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Unit 1 staff at Craneville Place of Dalton, and Hospice Care of the Berkshires for Helen's exceptional care during her illness.
