Mrs. Helen Evelyn Twing, 101, of Tyringham, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the Mount Carmel Care Center in Lenox where she has resided for the last several years.
Helen was born March 30, 1920, the daughter of William and Florence Mead Bradway. She lived most of her life in Tyringham where she was a devoted wife to Edwin W. Twing, Sr. whom she married April 25, 1937. Mr. Twing predeceased her August 24, 1986.
Mrs. Twing enjoyed gardening and canning her vegetables. She will be fondly remembered for her delicious baked goods and caring for those in need.
Mrs. Twing leaves behind nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews to treasure her memory.
Besides her husband, Helen was predeceased by her three children: Edwin Wilbur Twing, Jr, Gerald Calvin Twing, and Evelyn Ann “Tootie” Read; and her six siblings: Charles Bradway, William Bradway, Hulda Carnavale, Anna Pilling, Joan Clark, and Sybil Pitney.
Services for Mrs. Helen Twing will be held Tuesday, November 30th, 11AM at the Kelly Funeral Home with Rev. Janet McKinstry, presiding. Burial will follow in the Tyringham Cemetery.
