Jane Bartini Membrino of Lee, Massachusetts died suddenly at home on November 13, 2025. Jane was the youngest of six children born to George and Dosolina Angelini Bartini on March 12, 1935.
She was a graduate of Lee High School and Westfield State College where she earned a bachelor's degree in education. She received a master's degree in reading from American International College. For over twenty years she taught in the Chicopee Public Schools as a classroom teacher and reading specialist..
Jane had many loves in her life, including reading, cooking, travel and crossword puzzles. However, her greatest loves were her faith and family. Throughout her life Jane traveled extensively with her immediate and extended family creating treasured memories. She will be remembered by many for her culinary expertise, including sweet breads and numerous Italian dishes which she generously shared.
Jane is predeceased by her husband of 62 years George Membrino; her son, Pasquale Richard, and grandson Alexander Hutton. She is survived by her children, Diane Wespiser (Robert), Marc Membrino, and Julia Hutton (Mark). She is also survived by her grandchildren Bryan Wespiser (Lisa), Adam Wespiser, Emily Andenmatten (Stephen) and Evan Hutton (Andrea);' and great-grandchildren Georgia and Thomas Wespiser, Henry and Lena Andenmatten and Jackson, Louis, and Charlie Hutton.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church in Lee on Thursday, November 20, 11AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 9:30-10:30AM at the Kelly Funeral Home.
