Jean Marie (Dwyer) Abderhalden

Jean M (Dwyer) Abderhalden, 95, from Lee, MA, passed away quietly from natural causes on September 2nd, 2022. She grew up in Dalton, MA and was the daughter of John (Francis) Dwyer and Christine (Corcoran) Dwyer and sister to the late John "Jack" Dwyer.

Jean will now be able to join her predeceased and loving husband Edward C (Abby) Abderhalden and devoted son, the late Paul F Abderhalden (both Iron Workers).  She will be sadly missed by her eldest son Edward C Abderhalden Jr. and his wife Lisa.  She leaves behind her grandson Edward C Abderhalden III and many nieces and nephews.

Jean was a resident at Laurel Lake Nursing facility for many years, the staff there did a great job taking care of her, especially through the Covid pandemic. Jean had many friends over the years, one being the late Charlene (Weed) Abderhalden. Charlene was not only her best friend, she was her sister-in-law too.  They talked on the phone every day and enjoyed going to tag sales on Saturdays.  Jean grew up on her beloved Depot Street in Dalton, MA.  In later years, she mentioned her childhood home there more and more.  She was always asking about her dear friend Barbara Simmons and the Depot Street gang.  In her mind, Depot Street was always considered home.

At Jean’s request no calling hours will be held. A grave side service will be held at a later date.  Details will be posted when they are known.
