Jeanette L. Coty, 93, of Lee, passed away peacefully at BMC on Friday evening surrounded by her loving family.
Jeanette was born on January 29, 1930, the daughter of Leon and Ida Waters Ondress. She was raised and educated in Lee. She married Marshall Coty in 1946. He died 2013.
Known to all as “Nan”, Jeanette worked as a private housekeeper for many years. In addition she worked at Flamers Restaurant at the Lee Outlets. “Nan” enjoyed family dinners and gatherings with her friends. She loved sneaking cookies and was often caught with her hand in the cookie jar. Her Friday night Pitch games with her nieces, Glenda and Rhonda where always treasured. “Nan” was a long-time member of St. Mary’s Parish.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Marcia Chernov; her grandsons: Todd Bush and his wife, Jana, of Lee, and Jason Bush and his wife, Sarah, of Miami; her great-grandchildren: Travis, Owen, Bailey, Devin, and Deacon; her extended family, friends, and her cat, Panini.
Besides her husband, Marshall, and her parents, Leon and Ida Ondress, Jeanette was predeceased by her daughter, Kelly, her sister, Grace, and her brother, Leon.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September, 1, 2023, 10AM at St. Mary’s Church in Lee. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023, 4-6PM at the Kelly Funeral Home.
