Jeffrey Dean Wells

It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Jeffrey D. Wells announces his sudden passing on October 11, 2022, at the age of 42. Son of Dean Wells of South Lee, MA and Pam (Stohr) Whitman of Pittsfield MA, Jeff was born in Pittsfield on March 21, 1980.

He attended school in Lee, MA where he played football, baseball, and basketball and learned to cook in the school’s collaborative program.

Soon after graduating high school in 1998, Jeff embarked on a cross-country trip and ended up in the area of Lake Tahoe, NV. In 2005, he met the love of his life, Fabiola Aguilar, in Reno where they eventually relocated together and have lived ever since.

When he realized the restaurant business did not fit his lifestyle, he became a skilled craftsman carpenter, spending the last nearly-twenty years building beautiful homes in the spectacular Reno/Tahoe area.

Jeff was a kind soul. He loved family, hiking, fishing, music, going to concerts and playing his guitar. He was a great cook and baker, and a talented photographer. He was very proud of the property he and Fab had purchased and loved working on home improvements. He always took great pride in his work.

Besides his parents and Fabiola, he leaves his sister Heather Armstrong (Bret Miller); brother Eric Wells; and niece, Olivia Armstrong; and his two beloved dogs, Django and Frida. He also leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Calling hours will be held at the Kelly Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 18th from 4-6pm. There will be no funeral, but the family is planning to host a celebration of his life at a later date.
