Joy Reed-Scott

Joy Reed-Scott, 61, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025. 

She was born on February 21, 1963 the daughter of Ira and Mary Roberts. She was the middle of her five siblings and was raised in South Boston, MA. 

Joy pursued an education in accounting and received her associate degree.  In her adult life she held various jobs including accounting, assistant store manager, and most importantly, mother to three children. 

She met the love of her life, Andy Scott, in 1995, but they did not start dating until 2001. They were married the next year on May 26, 2002. 

Joy loved animals, angels and butterflies, but most of all, she loved her family. 

Besides her husband, Andy Scott, Joy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Elizabeth Reed, and her grandsons, Orion and Michael Jr. Joy also leaves a son, Robert and a daughter, Melissa. In addition she leaves many nieces and nephews. 

Visiting Hours will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025 from 1-3PM at the Kelly Funeral Home in Lee, MA.

Burial and a Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.
