Kendra Regina Pixley, age 43, passed away on Saturday, September 17th in Burlington, VT. Precious daughter of Regina (Carbone) Pultorak and Kenneth Pixley, step daughter of John Pultorak, she was born in Salem, MA, but raised in the mountains of Western Mass.
Kendra was often described as “a light”, “fun”, “happy”, “wild”, “spontaneous” and more by those who knew her. A kind, caring, compassionate, creative and incredibly sensitive person. Kendra had a way of making everyone she was with feel special. She lit up a room, made everyone laugh, and befriended people upon first meeting them. She was accepting and welcoming to everyone she met. Her wit, humor, and charm acted a bit like fairy dust that she sprinkled over everyone she spent time with. Her goal was always to have fun, and anyone that got to join was guaranteed to enjoy the ride (most of the time!).
She was an artist, singer, song writer, guitar player, and avid reader with a healthy obsession for any/all of Stephen King’s novels! If you got the chance to see and listen to her play music, you caught a glimpse of the magic that she had within her. Like many of us, Kendra’s strengths could also be her weaknesses. Those honored to know her, knew her creativity, sensitivity and deep love and devotion for those she loved.
She is survived by her parents; sisters: Jennifer Pixley –Dawson and her husband, Chris and Jodie Pixley; step sister: Tanya Gaudette and her husband, Shawn; nieces: Jade and Nova.
