Lola Lavigne

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Lola Lavigne, who passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, at the age

of 82.

Lola was born on November 1, 1943, in San Francisco, California, to Leopoldo Villar and Andrea Berrios. She attended Jefferson High School in Daly City, California. In 1969, Lola married the love of her life, Alfred Lavigne. Together, they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and deep family devotion. They began their family in California, where they raised their two daughters, Michelle Hayden and Tina Hela. In 1980, Lola and Alfred relocated to Massachusetts, where they owned and operated The Deer’s Inn Restaurant in Becket, becoming well known and respected members of the community.  Lola later worked as an interior decorator and real estate agent, bringing her creativity and warmth to everything she did. Lola and Alfred eventually made their home in Lee, Massachusetts. Lola and Alfred shared a deep love of travel and adventure, spending many cherished years exploring the country together in their motor home.

Lola will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and for the love she gave so freely to her family. Her love for animals was also one of her greatest joys.

Lola is survived by her devoted husband, Alfred Lavigne; her daughters, Michelle Hayden and Christina Hela; her son-in-law, Christopher Hayden; her grandchildren, Morgan Hayden, Brendan Hayden, and Amanda Hunting and her beloved great-grandchildren, Jace Johnson, James Johnson and Joslyn Johnson, who will continue to carry forward Lola’s legacy of love, strength, and family. Lola was predeceased by her parents, Leopoldo Villar and Andrea Berrios, and by her grandson, Kurtis Hunting.

A private service will be held in the spring.
