Marylou (Stevenson) Goodrich

Marylou Goodrich passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the age of 82 at Berkshire Medical Center from complications due to pneumonia.

Marylou was a lifelong resident of Lee, where she attended the local schools.  She was one of six children, the fourth daughter of George Stevenson Sr. and Mary (Tolvo) Stevenson.  She married Donald G. Goodrich Jr. of Cheshire on August 9, 1958, and together they raised four children. After raising her children she worked in housekeeping at the Lion’s Den in Stockbridge and The Morgan House in Lee. She also worked in the kitchen at The Landing at Laurel Lake and Lee High cafeteria. Marylou was a long standing member of the Sons of Italy-G. Marconi Lodge in Lee.  She enjoyed bingo, reading, and bus trips with her husband.  Her favorite activities were spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and socializing with friends.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children: Karen and her husband Jim Byrne of S. Egremont, Monica and her husband Jeff Dingman of Lee, and David and his wife Anita Goodrich of Lee; her son-in-law Peter Miskinis of Lee; her two sisters Dutch Burns, Liz Coats, and brother George Stevenson Jr; her nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Marylou was predeceased by her husband Donald, her daughter Holly, and granddaughter Tiffany. 

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 9, at 10AM at St. Mary’s Church, Main St, in Lee. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. A reception will follow at Greenock Country Club.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Marylou’s memory to either the Sons of Italy-G. Marconi Lodge # 1620 or Elder Services of Berkshire County, in care of Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main Street, Lee, MA 01238.
