Najat Nejaime

Najat Nejaime, 83, formerly of Tyringham Road in Lee, passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Fairview Commons where she has resided for the last several years.

Najat was born in Beirut, Lebanon on June 1, 1938. She immigrated to the United States in 1984.

She married George Nejaime February, 21, 1960; he died January 12, 2017.

Mrs. Nejaime was a loving grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Anyone who had the pleasure of entering Najat’s home always left with a full belly.

Mrs. Nejaime was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Lee.

Mrs. Nejaime leaves behind her two sons: Naji Nejaime and Fadi Nejaime and his wife Beverly, all of Lee; one daughter, Ghada “Katie” Chakar and her husband Robert of White Lake, NY; Eight grandchildren: Michaela, Alexa, Angelique, Julian and Rubiella Nejaime, Arlen Stawasz and his wife Huda, Tiffany Boedicker and her husband Matthew and Christina and Patrick Chakar; and three great-grandchildren: Drake and Lila Boedicker and Mila Stawasz. In addition, she also leaves behind one sister, Afaf Nejaime of Torrington, CT. In addition she leaves behind her loving extended family here and in Lebanon.

Besides her husband, George, Najat was predeceased by her brothers Antoine and Selim.

Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, the services will be private for the family. A Memorial Mass and gathering will be held for all to attend at a later date when it is safe to do so.

In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to either St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Maaser El Chouf Ground Association in care of Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238.
