Nathaniel R. Greene, 1956-2023, of North Blandford/Pittsfield passed away suddenly on July 10th, 2023, surrounded by loved ones both near and far.
Born January 1st, 1956, in North Blandford, MA, the son of Mae Greene (VanLeuvan) and Weston Greene of North Blandford MA. He attended Blandford Elementary and graduated from Gateway Regional High School.
He was a long-time painter for Dupont Painting, climbing 60-foot ladders at the Red Lion Inn. Always enjoyed spending time with loved ones and friends, brookin'/fishing, hunting trips with his siblings, camping, frying up some freshly caught brookies, taking back country rides, watching Gun Smoke, playing Uno with his grandson, and scratching a ticket every now and then.
Nathaniel leaves behind his only son Jason N. Greene and his fiancée April Slater; and two grandchildren: Grayson William Slater Greene and Katrina Mae Graham, all of Pittsfield. He was predeceased by his former wife, Lucille M. Greene (Carriere), although they divorced, for years they were companions and then he cared for her through her illness in 2010.
Nathaniel also was predeceased by two brothers: Daniel Greene, Marty Greene; and a sister, Helen Carr.
In addition,Nathaniel leaves three brothers: Wesley Greene of Tolland, MA, Raymond Greene of Bellows Falls, VT, and Willy Greene of Tolland, MA; and two sisters Shiela Crane of Lee, MA and Racheal Porter of Pittsfield, MA; along with many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his fiancée Kathy Quinn of Pittsfield, MA who cared for him, as well as her daughter Nicky, of Lee, MA: and his longtime/boss friend, Mr. Bob Dupont of Lee, MA.
The family would like to thank the ICU nurses, PCA Rachel, and Dr. Barnes of Baystate Medical for their care and words. You will be truly missed.
