Noel E. Stanard, 77, died Friday, December 18th at his home in Lee.
He was born on December 22, 1942, the son of Howell and Jennie Mange Stanard. He attended Lee Schools and graduated from Lee High School in 1960.
Noel worked at various odd jobs starting at the age of nine. He then worked at Mead Paper from 1966 until retiring in 2007. He continued to work as a caretaker until the time of his passing. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and handy work.
He is survived by his wife, the former Ellen M. Gage whom he married on May 28, 1966; one son: Brian N. Stanard of Lee; two daughters: Kelly M. Stanard of Yuma, AZ and Traci L. Speers of Pittsfield; two brothers: Robert L Stanard of Lee and Richard W. Stanard of South Lee; two sisters: Bertha Vreeland of Becket and Shirley Hunter of South Lee; eight grandchildren: Jacob, Luke, Nicholas, Jared, Kevin, Eric, Jayla and Maleah; two great grandchildren: Ava and Royalty. He is predeceased by his brothers: William and Howell and his sisters: Beverly Keefner, Jean Kirchner and Donna Somerville.
Per his wishes there will be no services.
