Patricia Manion, of Lanesborough, passed away surrounded by family on June 3, 2024.
Pat was born in Camden, NJ to Samuel Henry and Elizabeth (Muir) Henry on October 13, 1947. She was raised in Mt. Ephraim, NJ and graduated from Audubon High School. She married David Manion of Lee on May 5, 1967 and moved to Berkshire County where she raised three children and lived for the rest of her life.
After working as a keypunch operator in Philadelphia and Pittsfield, Pat fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse. She attended McCann Technical School and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Berkshire Medical Center and area family practice offices.
Pat was a communicant of St. Charles Church in Pittsfield. She was an avid reader and enjoyed many other creative pursuits; especially sewing, quilting and knitting. She and her husband took many cruises and travelled extensively throughout the United States and South America. She was proud of her Scottish and Irish heritage and visited Ireland and the UK. She was a fan of country and bluegrass music and attended many performances at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. She treasured spending time with her children, grandchildren and many friends.
Pat leaves her loving and devoted husband of 57 years, David Manion of Lanesborough; children Beth Manion of Turners Falls, Jeanne (Manion) Littlefield of Derry, NH and son Jeff Manion of Pittsfield; grandchildren Cameron LaCroix, Hannah (LaCroix) Marion, Avery Manion and Alyviana Manion; sister-in-law and brother-in law Barbara and Jack Comalli, son-in-law Kurt Littlefield; Greg Elbaum and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Elizabeth Henry, brothers Allen and George Henry, mother-in-law Ann (Scarfoni) Means, William Manion, and brother-in-law William Manion, Jr.
Pat was kind, generous, intelligent and creative, with a sense of humor that delighted all who were fortunate enough to have known her. She was a remarkable and unique human being. Pat faced many losses and challenges with resilience and strength, and touched the lives of many with her inimitable spirit and zest for life.
A private graveside service with burial took place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lee.
